What are some ways to get rid of chapped lips?

my lips are always chapped!!!

24/7 i have vaseline on them..

but overall doesnt help..

once i take off the vaseline my lips itch and burn..!What are some ways to get rid of chapped lips?
I had this exact same problem. Turns out I was allergic to fresh hot peppers! These symptoms have also been caused by MSG or you may actually be allergic to the vaseline. Have you changed your diet, medication or makeup recently?

There's also a skin condition caused chelitis that causes this. You must see a doctor to get a prescription for this.

Eczema can also cause lip pain and chapped lips. Eczema can occur suddenly for no apparent reason. You need to see your doctor for eczema.

If the vaseline isn't working, you may be severely dehydrated. You may not even feel thirsty. Try to drink as much water as you can keep down, and reduce your sodium intake. Soda, coffee and tea will NOT work for hydration! If you absolutely can't stand the taste of plain water, there're lots of flavored waters; just make sure they have NO sodium. Uncarbonated water seems to hydrate better than carbonated for some reason.

I've frequently used Vitamin E oil for chapped lips. Because it's very sticky, I usually apply it at night before I go to bed. Don't apply it too frequently or thickly, because you can OD on it, although you'd have to be really extreme to do so. BTW, Vitamin E oil is great for fever blisters! What are some ways to get rid of chapped lips?
use lip balm. Oh and DO NOT lick your lips! So as long as you use chap stick (lip balm), and dont lick your lips, you will see results right away!
Try Carmex medicated lip ointment....it works great. It'll help heal the chapped lips you have now, then keep using it several times daily and it will prevent more chapped lips. You can usually find it next to the chapstick in drug stores or walmart.
