What do you do if you have chapped lips, and don't have anything to cure it?

Sometimes my lips get really chapped and really hurt! And i dont have anything around to cure them. What should you do in a case like this? What do you do if you have chapped lips, and don't have anything to cure it?
You can get chapped lips if you're dehydrated, or if the air is really dry or cold. Make sure you're getting enough water, for starters. Now, you don't have lip balm, I guess, but how about vaseline, or an unscented hand cream? A tiny dab of shortening or lard would work in a pinch, too. UNsalted butter would work, but not salted, which will just suck more moisture out of your lips. Anything that is going to seal the cracks and soften your lips so you can move them without pain is good. If you have the patience to soften some candle wax in your hands and try rubbing that on your lips, it might work. Beeswax is great. Try, try, try not to lick your lips. It feels better for a moment, but then the moisture evaporates and it just gets worse. I suggest getting a tube of lip balm for each coat pocket, so you always have it with you. Chapped lips are no fun. What do you do if you have chapped lips, and don't have anything to cure it?
rub the side of your nose with your finger tips and then your lips haha this isnt bull **** ive heard it works on the discovery channel
I suggest you go to a wall-mart or Kmart next to your house or any drog store and get a therapeutic lip balm (not any kind) and Vaseline is great too. luck:-)
carmex. it works really well
if u lick ur lips a lot then u will worsen the condition. dry, wintery weather will also tend to chap up ur lips. if u don't have chapstick handy, just put on some sort of lotion...just something to help get it moisturized. no lotion? how's about vaseline petroleum jelly. that'll work too.
You need to stop licking your lips. Chicken **** will take care of that, and will renew your lips with moisture. mm mm kissable
try hard not to lick your lips if you do get chapped lips then use Carmen it worked for me :)
lip bal
With the various lip moisturizers on the market what you mean there is nothing to cure it? Okay, I see what you're saying cure. Those things just take care of the symptoms. What you need is GLYCERIN straight from the bottle, no other additives. You might also want to try ALOE VERA JELLY/GEL.

Also you're probably breathing from your mouth instead of your nostrils. Also you may not be drinking enough fluids, especially water.

One of the best ways to prevent chapped lips is to maintain proper hydration. To ease the pain a little neosporine+ will prevent infection and ease pain. Also you could try a little Vaseline.
Aloe Vera plant works great!soothing and healing, just break aTinY piece and apply you can keep this in a piece of foil ,put in fridge, use thru out the day. Or vasoline, or vitamin E or Crisco or Olive oil this is also very good but StoP LicKinG them !!And the Best Thing is Think Ahead...If you know you get chapped oftn plan ahead ! Buy Extra Carmex,or TanicAcid ointment hey thats another thing a anti-biotic ointment and another Desitin or other product thats used for a babys delicate butt for diaper rash get the idea nothing with alocohol or perfumes in it,,hope you feel better
When it's cold outside the air can make your lips very dry and chapped. You need to buy some chap stick and put it on everyday if your lips get chapped often.
Try vaseline. Don't go out into the sun with it on, but apply it before you go to bed, or around the house. Everyone usually has some around. Hope you do.
Use La Mer's Lip Balm. Chapped Lips are very common when it is cold outside. Make sure that you aren't licking your lips to keep them moist but do drink a lot of fluids.

Well as mentioned in most of the other suggestions, any kind of lip balm will help - however, try to stay away from ones with menthol in them because the menthol can become addictive believe it or not.

Also - the best way to help chronic chapped lips is to drink plenty of water - it could be that you just don't have enough fluids in your body.
Avoid licking them until you can get lip balm.
I actually use vitamin E oil. I think it works well. Use it at bed time.
MOISTERISER THEY NEED TO STOP GETTING WET
Dude kick down .99 cents and buy some chapstick!
